About Me

Hi, there! I’m Katie. ⟡

I'm an actor, designer, writer, content creator, and generally curious creative person who has never been particularly interested in choosing just one way to tell a story. Or doing just one thing. (Seriously, ask my mom about my many answers to what I wanted to be when I grew up: princess, painter, animal rights cop, manga artist, teacher, doctor, dentist, ice-skater, rockstar…I even asked if I could wear a dress to “fireman-school”).

One of my many creative homes is theatre, where I learned that every choice starts with two things: know the story, and know who you're telling it to. Years spent stepping into other people's shoes taught me to pay attention to character, motivation, humor, pacing, and the little details that make an audience connect. Those instincts eventually followed me beyond the stage and into graphic design, marketing, writing, and content creation.

I have a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Columbus State University and a second B.A. in Graphic Design & Media Arts from Southern New Hampshire University, with concentrations in Web Design and Professional Writing. But I'm also a lifelong learner who is always looking for another skill to add to the toolbox—especially if it helps me solve a problem, tell a better story, or make somebody else's great idea stronger.

I genuinely enjoy supporting the creative process—whether I'm the person performing the story, designing the poster, editing the video, polishing the words, brainstorming how to market it, or figuring out how we're going to make the thing work with the time and resources we've actually got.

I'm a problem solver by nature: curious, resourceful, prepared, and usually willing to learn whatever I don't already know. Give me a challenge and my first instinct is less “that's not my job” and more “okay, how do we figure this out?”

If you ask people what it's like to work with me, I hope they'll tell you I'm prepared, collaborative, dependable, and someone who makes the room better. I show up early. I do my homework. I welcome direction. I support the people around me, and I believe the best work happens when everyone in the room is invested in making the project—and each other—better.

I take the work seriously.

I don't take myself too seriously.

Laughter is one of my favorite creative tools.

So, What Are We Making?

Maybe you need a designer. Maybe you need a writer, an editor, a content creator, an actor—or someone who can wear a couple of those hats at once. Whatever the project, I'm happiest when there are good people in the room, an interesting problem to solve, and a story worth telling.

Let's tell a great story together.
