Video Content Creation

Stories Built for the Scroll

I’m a multidisciplinary storyteller bringing together performance, graphic design, writing, photography, and marketing to create short-form content with personality and purpose. My background as a professional actor gives me an instinct for character, humor, pacing, and what keeps an audience watching, while my design training sharpens my eye for composition, typography, color, and visual hierarchy.

From concept and scripting to shooting and editing, I look for the story inside an idea and the strongest way to tell it for the audience, platform, and moment.

⟡ Campaign & Promotional Content

2%: From One Interview to a Content Series

To support promotion for 2%: A Play About Privilege (And Also Milk) at Edinburgh Fringe, I helped transform a longer interview with writer/producer/performer Kevin Qian into a series of focused short-form videos, each built around a distinct topic that could be released individually throughout the campaign.

My Role: Interview Support · Story Selection · Video Editing · Social Content Strategy

Meet Kevin!

Introducing the writer, producer, and star of 2% A Play About Privilege (And Also Milk) presented at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2026.

What is 2%?

Kevin Qian discusses his show’s inspiration, themes, and what audiences can expect from 2%.

Why EdFringe?

Kevin Qian talks EdFringe, his previous experiences, and why he’s taking 2% to the world’s largest performing arts festival.

Working with Michelle Pokopac!

Kevin Qian talks about his director, Atlanta theatre icon Michelle Pokopac, and how her direction made 2% ~udderly~ special.

Behind-the-Scenes/Promotional Content

Working from footage I captured during an invited rehearsal, I edited a fast-paced montage that gave social audiences a glimpse inside the rehearsal room while building familiarity with the production ahead of Edinburgh Fringe. Interview footage that didn't make the primary edits was also repurposed into personality-driven content, including a blooper montage highlighting Qian's natural comedic energy and charm.

My Role: Footage Capture & Selection · Editing · Pacing · Music & Sound Selection · Social Optimization

MOO-ments from 2% Rehearsal

Audiences catch a glimpse of 2%’s early development with clips from the first invited dress rehearsal in New York. High-action moments set to upbeat music and provocotive line interjections create a trailer-like effect, while clips of Kevin interacting with the audience and production team capture the scrappy, collaborative nature of the production.

Interview Bloopers

Sometimes the imperfect is what perfectly communicates. These clips cut from the interview session with Qian demonstrate his natural charm and humor while inviting the audience into these authentic, human moments. The montage also demonstrates how even a small amount of footage can go a long way with the right editing and positioning.

Together, the interview series, rehearsal montage, and blooper content turned two primary capture sessions into a flexible library of promotional, informational, and personality-driven social content.

⟡ Lifestyle & Personality

Travel days, thrift-store finds, creative projects, questionable fashion decisions—sometimes the content starts simply because something feels worth sharing. These self-directed videos give me room to experiment with personality-led storytelling, humor, trends, visual hooks, and on-camera performance.

From spotting the idea to finding the angle, capturing the footage, and shaping the final edit, I use these projects to explore what makes everyday moments entertaining enough to earn a place in someone else's feed.

Wicker Trailer Response

Trend Response · Comedy · Performance · Music-Driven Editing

Inspired by the internet's collective double-take at the first trailer for Wicker, I created a quick-turnaround reaction video built around one simple visual joke: suddenly looking at an ordinary basket very differently.

⟡ Educational & How-To

Good instructional content has to do more than show the steps—it has to make viewers believe they can follow them. These self-directed tutorials break everyday skills and creative projects into clear, approachable short-form stories without losing the personality that makes someone want to keep watching.

I use visual demonstration, concise explanations, pacing, and editing to move viewers efficiently from “How do I do this?” to “I can do that.”

Every Second Earns the Next

Short-form content has very little time to make its case. I think about the hook, audience, platform, pacing, framing, captions, sound, and payoff—then look for the clearest path between “Why should I watch this?” and “I'm glad I did.”

Whether I'm building from a planned concept, performing on camera, or finding the story inside existing footage, my goal is to make every second earn the next one.
