Marietta Craft Club
“Welcome” Poster and Social Media Carousel
Marietta Craft Club is a local club dedicated to bringing craft lovers together to share their skills, create friendships, and give back to the community. All crafters of any discipline and skill level are welcome and encouraged.
For the club's first meet-up, the founders requested a portrait-oriented 24 x 36 in "Welcome" poster to display at the entrance of their meeting space. In addition, Marietta Craft Club requested a slide deck for sharing their mission, values, and message on Instagram and Facebook.
The designs evoke the multi-disciplinary, creative, and community-oriented themes of the club using various crafting tools, textures, and notions to create the words “Welcome” in the final poster design and the key messages displayed in the social deck.
Welcome Poster Designs
The first proposed poster design for Marietta Craft Club reflects the "community" and "multi-disciplinary" themes of the club with multiple hands using different crafting mediums to "create" the club logo.
The second proposed poster design, and final version selected by the client, uses imagery of various crafting notions and mediums to spell "Welcome,” offering a warm greeting to attendees of the club’s monthly meetings and events.
The Marietta Craft Club social media carousel continues the crafting notion imagery and “perfectly imperfect” themes from the final poster design. The organic, crafty themes are reflected in the use “handmade” and found materials to create the first letter of each slide’s title. The black yarn trails across the slides encouraging the viewer to continue to the final slide: a call to action to connect with Marietta Craft Club via email, Facebook, Instagram, and Substack.
